Hope Sandoval is such a beautiful, ethereal woman and I absolutely love the way she just stands and sings, no gyrating, no pyrotechnics, no twerking, just singing.

Milk 'n Blues

When I first stumbled over this I admit being mostly attracted by the girls, the blonde looks full of mischief, has very amused eyes.(Aline Mota).

The one in the foreground has a beautiful face.
She is very adept with the harmonica too. (Indiara Sfair).

I returned to it a few times and found that I liked the bloke's singing and his guitar playing. (Tiago Juk)

Gradually I found more nuances that I liked and then realised that I was hearing the bass line (Eduardo Machado) and the drums (Piatan Sfair) - normally I either subconsciously ignore them or just don't hear them and drums almost always seem to be completely superfluous to me - I hear the primary instruments and voices - without actually hearing the lyrics, they are just a function of the music.

I am wondering why.
Is this stuff so simplistic that it cannot be ignored, or is it more the recording/mixing/mastering that is responsible?

All are Brazillian other than Anne Glober, the large girl in the middle, who is Canadian.
It is a floating line up with Aline Mota and Anne Glober being the central characters. Aline Mota and Indiara Sfair also have solo careers too.

Oddly enough, I was in Morrison's a few days ago and the first part of the first clip, "Miss You" was playing on the PR system.

... so my first choice of group is Manfred Mann but I couldn't narrow it down to one track so I am offering three!!
The incarnations of Manfred Mann with Paul Jones and then Mike D'Abo were known retrospectively and informally as chapters one and two. After that we had Manfred Mann Chapter 3 and I give you One Way Glass.

Only two albums as Chapter 3 before a new band emerged Manfred Mann's Earthband. Plenty to choose from here and I have gone for Blinded by the Light.

To clarify the different eras of Manfred Mann in terms of qualifying for the thread. I am happy with Chapter 3 and Earth Band being different groups so no repetition has occurred. However the informal chapters 1 and 2 I am treating as the same band so effectively ALL the variations have been posted and any further posts will be repeats and treated accordingly :-D
