Re: The FCF Musical Advent Calendar 2020
Plenty "K" s it would seem. I think I have done the ones I particularly like, and liked those that I forgot about like our friends Kajagoogoo from 1983. I've heard of Kula shaker but couldnt offer up their best track but nice enough with a bit of sitar on the go, and surprising to me King who did "Love and Pride" of course were less than prolific in the charts.
In an avalanche of examples of posts where really its impossible to play every one to see if you like it, those that come with a personal recommendation and maybe a bit of a story are more likely to get a viewing, and maybe lead to a new personal discovery.
Regards Neil

Katatonia
Dead Air
Most I haven't reviewed, some are new to me and I haven't really formed an opinion of them, some are too dire to contemplate. Many I haven't even listened too, knowing what they were like from prior experience.
On the other hand, a couple have made an impression - the one posted a few pegs above, Khruangbin - and some to come - (while looking/listening to some of them I have spotted others that I had forgotten about and saved for later) it did do on far longer than expected but was at least quite pleasant rather than an awful noise like so many, or vomit-inducing bubble gum tosh.
One is new and was a revelation

They repeat everyone's got to learn sometime, but never tell the listener what it is that "everybody's got to learn sometime" hence whenever it used to come on the radio I used to shout "What?"
Have our last eurovision song contest winners had a mention yet?

Certainly not to everyone's taste, but here's the delightfully unhinged Knower - The Government Knows
