This is the 1820th Post in this thread, which in itself is pretty amazing!!! We have produced 122 pages in 24 days and listed no less than 1418 groups in all!!
Along the way I have issued a mere 40 yellow cards and no reds at all!! Huge thanks to everybody who has contributed and made the Calendar a thread to remember!! I generally prefer not to single out individuals but on this occasion I'm sure everyone will agree Paul deserves a special thankyou for his herculean contribution throughout the 24 days. I have all the groups listed and the other info on the spreadsheet and if anyone would like a copy let me know and I'll email the file to you.

It just remains for me to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and of course to post up the completed Calendar:

Its been a great thread for participation which is what the FCF is all about. Thanks to you Mick for curating the thread so well....lot of effort has gone into it which I hope you enjoyed.

No need for a hiatus in those of you who have joined in and clearly enjoy music. The Pickled Egg jukebox is there year round to post up tracks you like, and inflict your own musical taste on the assembled throng. There has been such an avalanche of tracks in the advent calendar that in real time there has been little chance to give the tracks a decent listen and maybe make new discoveries. I have made a few personal ones along the way which I wouldn't normally have listened to or found in merely the search for the "letters".

All the best to you and yours Mick

Many thanks to you Mick for posting the original idea and then keeping track as it bowled along. I'm sure following the Ses can't have been easy!

It's obvious I've had far too much time on my hands but I'm very pleased to have been able to contribute along the way. Thanks also to my fellow contributors even though you did steal far too many of my possibilities!

I've now got to do the Christmas dinner. Only for three this year.

Merry Christmas to all.

An interesting exercise Mick.
Discovered some new music, unfortunately largely awful but there were some gems in among it.

Need to pay more attention to what I am posting though, tripped over my laces more times than forgivable.

Pfft, lightweight.

I managed to get nearly as many yellow cards as everyone else added together. AND I WASN'T EVEN TRYING TO! :rofl2:

Well, now all we have to do is to wait for Mick to hit us all with Christmas Cards instead!
