Neil going back to 1960's brought a very different name to my mind and there is one hell of a choice but I've picked this for something traditional:
The FCF Musical Advent Calendar 2020

Re: The FCF Musical Advent Calendar 2020
Another great day on the calendar comes to an end with 42 groups chalked up and a fair variety of music among them. Thanks everyone for your contributions, without which the thread would be a total washout!!
And so on to the "E"s with our now customary reminder of where we are with the calendar as it stands:
To get the ball rolling gently my first offering is from the Electric Light Orchestra celebrating that which earned me my living for the first 15 years of my working life:

On 16th May 1971 East of Eden reached Number 7 in the UK Chart with Jig-a-Jig. Still remember it. Not that it was a particularly good vintage for the chart. No I like Perry Como, and Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Shirley Bassey, but I think pop music was ready for a shake up.

So probably for the first time since 1971 here's East of Eden

Damn, that's a couple scratched off my list before I've even started.
So, I'll start with the Eurythmics. Annie Lennox looks fabulous and sounds pretty good as well.
