Shalamar - A Night To Remember. Geoffrey did the Moonwalk years before Michael Jackson. And even he wasn't the first.

Steely Dan - Reeling in the Years
One of my favorite bands Paul. Tremendous guitar work by Elliot Randall on the recorded version on Cant Buy A Thrill
Think thats Jeff Skunk Baxter doing it on the vid.

and Shalamar....a very significant track for me, Mad Hatters Edinburgh 1983! and youve gone on a run of likes with me for that tune from the Sytlistics and Shakatak to follow :-D

Yes, it's Skunk in the video.

Elliot Randall was a serial non-joiner of bands and even though he was offered a place in Steely Dan he turned it down. I saw him as part of The Rutles a few years ago and Neil Innes allowed him to play the riff from Reeling in the Years during one of their songs. Fabulous.

Over here they were known as the Detroit Spinners but in the states they were just The Spinners. Their most famous song I think? Working My Way Back To You

Jury's out on this one - over here the Detroit Spinners so iffy for the "S"s - under review !! :-D

We've had two different Nirvanas. Surely the same applies here?
