:offtopic:

After the D&theD's I looked at Delaney and Bonnie, saw a singer with them and looked up who she was - Rita Coolidge.
Have heard of her of course but not paid any attention. She has quite a remarkable history and wrote the piano part in 'Layla' but was never credited for it.

I've got a rook of Ds to post so I'd better crack on before someone else nabs them! (Deep Purple already gone.)

So I'll start with Devo. Altogether now "Are we not men?"...

And now another cracker - Dr. Feelgood. The early days when Wilko Johnson was still with the band and here he gives his best impression of his guitar feeding him into the mains. Fabulous.

The Feelgoods are still touring although none of current members were in the original band. I went to see them a couple of years ago and for the first (and so far only) time the venue had hired extra security in case there was trouble. From 50 and 60-year olds? I should be so lucky!

Department of strange coincidences. I knew that lead singer Lee Brilleaux (born Lee Collinson) and I shared the same birthday but when I was watching the film "Oil City Confidential" I had a shiver run down my spine when I saw the commemorative bench and the plaque showed that he was born on the same day as I was. Further to that Lee died in 1994 of Lymphoma which is the same cancer that I was treated for last year.

The Damned

I did consider posting Eloise but decided on the classic New Rose in the end.

Oh, what the hell! Here's Eloise as well.

The Dave Clark Five - Bits and Pieces. Keyboard player and lead singer Mike Smith never received the recognition he should have in my opinion.

Can't be many D's left :-D My favourite D's undoubtedly the Doobie Brothers already selected by James, and Deep Purple already selected by Paul.

So whats left.....Go Cox-ey, Go Cox-ey Go! Their breakthrough hit.
