NG4 problem

hey everyone,

im kinda calling for help.. i have citroen c5 III with ng4 but one day on the lcd screen showed up "system check dont turn off the engine" or something like this and since then my ng4 doesnt work. It keeps showing this message and restart repeatedly. Park sensors not working, usb slots not working, radio not working.. and i dont know what to do.. i was thinking about trying reainstallig sw (firmware) but i cant find any actual link.
I also bought another ng4 but its from peugeot 3008. When i connect it to my car the peugeot logo show up for a second and then ng4 turn itself off.. i hear hdd or cd but it doesnt work.. does anyone have an idea what to do with my old ng4 with system check error and what to do with a "new one". Is it broken too? im kinda desperate.

A restart can be for various reasons - failed hard disk, corrupted data, overheating etc. or even a CAN network problem in the vehicle that may be affecting the unit. Have you added any electrical equipment recently, done anything to the wiring?

The second NG4 won't work properly until it has been configured to your vehicle using the VIN code and also may need certain options set to match your vehicle (as don't forget this is from another vehicle with a different configuration).

If you have no USB connection, then a firmware update via USB is not going to help - you'll need to order a CD from your dealer (they are quite cheap) and try and boot off that.

Nope I didn't do any electrical or wiring changes. Car does not even have any kind of chip tuning or something like that.

You gave me hope with the second NG4. So you say there is a possible chance it can work after some configuration? I know it's not 100% but still.

In the attachment there is an error message I'm getting with my old NG4.

Ok, so I have just checked out that message and there is a Technical Service Bulletin relating to that exact message.

Basically, the Flash Memory on the motherboard has been corrupted and PSA's solution is to replace the whole thing.

So If you have a spare NG4, you will need somebody with Diagbox that can code your vehicle's VIN into the replacement NG4 and then configure the specific options that will change the logo and ensure all the other options are correct for your vehicle.

I know that these can be 're-animated' but it requires a specialist programme and I don't know of anyone who does this.
