2010 Peugeot 3008 2.0 HDI - Strange noise (moo!), P2125

Post by BizPug »

Hello all, this my first post.

My partner is on her 2nd phase/shape 1, 2.0 Hdi 3008. Overall, a tad weird with styling but very useful car (especially with kids). Apart from a DRC system (i.e. I binned it), its been as good as gold.

For as long as I can remember, it's made a strange noise when the igniton is turned off.
The noise is repeatable by: running the engine for 15 to 30 seconds (either idle or with a little throttle) > then ignition/key off > wait 8-10 seconds > moo cow noise.

I have uploaded something to the beloved YouTube

I mangaged to borrow a diagnostics kit from work and scanned the car and saw:
P2125
- Air mixer. Drift on the initializations of one of the two stops
- Intermittent

This code has since dissapeared after a clear.

I ran what's called Flight recorder, whereby you preselect parameters to record and just drive, I picked:
  • Mixer valve position
  • Mixer valve position reference value
Appologies for the colors!
I do not know these cars that well, so I do not know if this is a normal trace for the actual mixer valve position, but to me it appears slow.

There is no MIL, but we are planning to run the car to 150k miles/try get us through the next two years, and just bury it.

Thanks,
Mike.
