Mike has set up the donate system to automatically mark members' user names with a certain colour to quickly identify them as FCF donors to the staff. Making a donation via alternative means is fine too, but we need to be aware of it so we can make the adjustment manually.
I have discovered that due to a configuration error that crept in at the last forum software upgrade, PayPal donations using the donate button on the forum have not been triggering the automatic tagging of user accounts. This issue has just been fixed.
The donations themselves have been received, and we have the Paypal IDs of the donors, but in some cases we don't know which forum user ID to manually update.
So If you have made a donation this year, and your username on the forum is not showing in the green colour, please reply here, or send me a PM so that I can manually correct the data.
I clicked on the donate button on the forum and used the paypal account.
If that makes sense.

Guys - thanks for letting us know - leave it with us. We have an automated system when using the Donate link on the Forum that automates the donation - but if you make the donation another way or manually, it won't trigger your donor status and we have to manually change these. Mike will look at it as soon as he is able (he's in another time zone).
I clicked on the donate button on the forum and used the paypal account.

I have adjusted your user accounts to reflect the donations. You have done the right things, but our automatic system was not configured correctly (due to a change in the software behaviour after the last upgrade).
For historical reasons, our Paypal account is called bxclub, but with banking security as it is, I think that it is too difficult to change now.
We're aiming to provide the same support service to forum members that we did before, supported by up-to-date parts information. It's just costing us a lot more than it did previously, hence the need for member donations.
