Thanks for the numbers.
Details sent. Let's see what might come back.
Service.citroen (parts) not recognising that VIN, but not surprising as CX doesn't appear on the current system.

Chris;
Brilliant! Lets see what he comes back with!
Myglaren;
Thank you for editing, never know who might be looking I guess
General;
I will visit Kennedy Diesel tomorrow and see how the pump + injectors are coming along, also check the nearby wrecker to see whether they have a door panel laying around (my front right panel is cracked and taped). And lastly stop by a local workshop with two very friendly older fellas specializing in Hondas, perhaps they would know of a Citroen specialist in the area...
Other than that, I will start checking all the other "stuff" tomorrow, lights, hoses, interior switches and so on, just to make sure everything is in proper working order. Expect more pictures tomorrow. As for the brakes and suspension bits, I am afraid I would need the engine to be in proper running order... fingers crossed that the spheres are ok and all that would be needed is change of all fluids, engine oil, tranny fluid and LHM fluid...
I got two set of wheels for it, 14 inch steelies (without hub caps) and 14 inch alloys - I am planing on using the alloys for my trip home. The tires that are currently fitted to them, date back to 2008, they are rock hard, and dont hold air any longer, the size is 195/70, would that be the correct size to purchase?
The struggle shall go on... I will drive this sucker home, I am sure of it!

That is a fantastic write up, however, it is a bit more expensive than what I am prepared to spend on this project, at this point in time..
I was looking at "normal" tyres, and as an affordable option I prefer Nexen HD blue for long motorway hauls, as it is a soft and reasonably quiet tyre..
Let me re-phrase my question; what normal tire size should I look for when purchasing a set?
Again, thank you for the link!! I might cash out once the car is back in Norway, as continue working on the car.

Michelin Energy Saver Plus have proved a very worthy successor to Michelin MXV, Pilot and Primacy. Citroen suspension was designed around this type of Michelin tyre, with its very pliant sidewalls. If you can find the size, and an acceptable price, worth going for. Comfortable and quiet, and plenty of grip.

Re: "Barn Find" 1982 or 83 CX D25
Sorry, I missed this post.
You're in luck with the Michelin Energy Savers for those 195/70R14 rims...
https://www.michelin.co.uk/auto/browse- ... 70/14/91/T
Load rating 91 = 615kg (axle weight)
Speed rating T = 118mph / 190km/h
You can use that same Michelin site to look at availability in other sizes, if needed.
On the timing front, Tom at SGG Dunsfold has come back by email this morning.
He's contacted a local CX expert, who should (should) have the timing data next week.
Hoping to send the pages to me.
Fingers crossed...

Hi Taras,
Tom in the UK has come back with these Citroen pages this afternoon...
↓ Click to englarge Let me know if that's the info you need, or any other pages. He's going to hang on to the booklet for a while longer before he hands it back to its owner.
Marc - I will tactfully ask later whether we could have shots of all pages for the forum library

My contact in the UK only has this booklet in his possession for a brief while, then it must go back to its owner.
Have posted the pages here, sent Taras a PM, and an email, to ask whether this is all the info which is needed. NO REPLIES received!
