Hi Alasdair, seems like a good idea, one possibility that Mandrake said is the engine had been running for some time. probably not this week though, I want to try and get another aircon comp as a backup, next Friday, Saturday or Sunday if that's good with you, also i should have the inspection camera tomorrow so I can look at the flap.

Just let me know, you know my situation and that normally I am home, but always with that short term possibility of change at short notice :)

HI!

I have a LHD Xantia 1.8 16v -99 petrol with aircon and I desperately need wiring diagrams for whole climate control/heating system and the locations of course for understanding it whole. Haynes wiring diagrams for models from 1998-on are almost useless in this case.
I have spent days in my car's footwells studying the system and I'm pretty much beginning be tired to do it, so if you happen to have those schematics, I'd be very grateful to have them published on this forum.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

You haven't said what the issues were, but here are the main Heating diagrams - (I have not put the A/C system up as that is separate).

You'll have to do a bit of work yourself as there are too many codes for me to lookup, have a look at the wiki page I put together where most of the codes are available in sections and ascending numerical order:

Hi,
and thanks for those pics!

Well, I think it's about almost everything, but let me explain a bit. Heater blower motor works, the wiring had done by someone else the way so that supply to blower motor was taken from the orange wire that comes from ignition switch to the brown plug, earthing directly to the car body. There's an on/off switch and a 75A relay between the supply, no fuse as I understood (the motor runs at highest speed or not at all).
There was no resistor pack in blower motor system but now there is and it's a new one, but still not in use. I put a 12V AC voltage regulator between the blower motor supply and earthing so the speed become adjustable only for the reason it's winter here now. Let's look at the heat regulation: The control worked some day and some day not the way that when the slider was on red the air was cold and when it was on blue the air was hottest possible, but nothing between it. Now there's only one choice and it's hot.
I've thought the next thing to study would be the mixing flap motor's inner life. I don't know, but it would be nice adjust the heat too.
I have thought to fix the whole system to its original condition, but maybe it's just a dream.

Note that the diagrams posted above are not correct for your car, they are for a car that was built without A/C and with a simple passive resistor speed control for the fan motor.

I already said I didn’t post up the A/C Diagram Mike in my last post. That is a separate diagram if required.

I think you might be getting this last post mixed up with the original poster (peter306)? My post was in response to 'NeaU's' post.

The diagram is correct from the VIN and RPO supplied. If the A/C circuit is needed let me know.

The diagrams posted are for a car with no a/c ECU, purely mechanical control of the temperature, and a simple 4 position fan switch. The car described does not match that. It is possible that the equipment currently mounted in the car is not the original, or that the on-line records are wrong for this car.

Well I only have the same as Citroen do electronically - but here is the A/C system diagram. I didn't put this up as the OP didn't mention it.

Hi again!

First of all thanks to Marc for the air con diagram, but would it be too much to ask if I could get pictures of the location too?

Marc, thanks for that, I did earlier post my VIN and in another post asked if anyone had a wiring diagram for the A/C ecu, probably didn't make it clear, as the saying goes, I knew what I meant :) :)

Re: Xantia cabin heating

An update, had an afternoon at Alasdairs (Chris :)) , went through all the possibilities that Mandrake suggested, same result, the Lexia didn't talk to my A/C ecu, just to check the Lexia I interogated the Airbag ecu, the CPH, the ABS ecu and the engine, the Lexia had no problem talking to these ecu's,
Can confirm that the correct VIN was entered, I got Alasdair to check it before I pressed the go button.
Made several attempts both ignition on and engine running and some with just ignition on.
After arriving at Alasdairs I let the engine cool for about 30 minutes.
