That crankshaft pulley arrangement sounds unnecessarily complicated although I believe that tensioning that belt is easier than on early ones. Hopefully I will still remember that when I get round to doing them.

Mine are on 107k and 104k respectively so although inside the mileage limit they are 11 years old.

Did a number of XUD belts and one or two Hdi's, never tensioned them as they said, used the 'half a turn twist' method, although I seem to remember that the XUD had an auto tensioner. Never had a problem except one or two I overtightened, just slackened them off until they stopped whining.

No, I am thinking of the auxiliary belt tensioner.
