Re: Bargain Basement Electric
That headlamp looks so much nicer than the old model. Good choice Neil, an EV that looks like a proper car rather than a brick on wheels. Well bought!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: Bargain Basement Electric
Tnanks Steve,. Mick and Jim much appreciated. It does feel like a next generation compared to the classic BB Leaf with most of the comforts features and toys now expected of the modern car in the 2020's. Bit of familiarisation required. Yes I have had a couple of lane assist alerts where the car knows better than me that you should signal when changing lanes, and an orange light appears on the mirrors themselves you when cars are in the blind spots.

Re: Bargain Basement Electric
Thanks Gibbo we have both progressed to the more modern version of our Bargain Basement Electrics.
I think I would describe the newer versions, more as good value for money without being truly bargain basement. Just ordinary car ownership. Hence from my point of view I'm not going to maintain this thread. With the 23 reg I will have to darken Nissan's doors for the sake of the warranty, but surprisingly the insurance was cheaper as I mentioned earlier. I have no illusions that on-the-road charging will be any different pricewise to petrol/diesel either now, in the short term or the long term, but with that extra range with the 40kWh battery, our need for on-the-road charging for our motoring needs will decrease, from what is now just occasional top-ups anyway.
So pleased you took the plunge and joined myself and Simon beforehand in the pioneering , and providing a bit of first-hand experience
