There's original SD card in, holding SETUP shows up Cheat code menu. Beeping has stopped. Also can't pair my phone with radio as can't confirm digits for security code.

Unfortunately that's a bit like bolting the barn door after the horse has bolted. As soon as you had some indication of intermittent behaviour, you really needed to have backed up the user data from the internal MicroSD card using Part A in the first post of this guide. You would then have had a copy of your configuration to restore after replacement.

Is the display working still? If so you have nothing to loose by trying the Part A procedure now (restore the card to the unit), but beware if you have stuck it in a MAC or a PC, these operating systems will have now put system information files onto the card which should be removed first.

Mirascripts Part A may be able to extract the relevant data as long as you can follow the instructions and answer the questions presented on the display screen. If successful, follow the rest of the guide.

If not, then you may as well continue to replace the card and let the firmware create the partitions from scratch and install the operating system. Depending on the version of the firmware you already had installed, you may be lucky and fine the unit works fine and that all your parking assistance and features are working via the display. If not, then it's a dealer visit to have the RT6 unit configuration downloaded from Peugeot via a diagnostic session.

Hi to you all,

Have just purchased a 2014 3008 allure. I knew the multimedia was not working: blank screen, no radio nor reversing camera etc.

I have no idea which firmware I require and would like to download and burn it to disc before going to dealer. i have an usb memory card ready as per Marc's instructions and will be replacing the SD card with a new one.

My vehicles vin number is : VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

Merry Xmas to you all

1) No need. If you are taking it to the dealer they will have the firmware or will order it on CD. V2.86 is the last version available. I doubt the dealership would even use your own version of firmware because they do not know the origin of it and therefore would not want any comebacks if there were later accusations about it being their fault why the system is not working.
2) If you are at this stage, loading a firmware on the unit won't make a bit of difference, the internal flash drive has likely failed and therefore trying to write more data to it will just make is worse.
3) I suspect the system is constantly whirring looking for the firmware CD as it can't boot. This is symptomatic of the internal MicroSD card failure.
4) Because the system is now at the stage where you have no display, you will not be able to follow Part A in the guide as you won't be able to see the questions and prompts.
5) Lastly, because you have said certain feature are no longer working and the screen is blank, I strongly suspect somebody has been here before and tried to update it leaving it in the state they have.
6) This being the case, I suggest you now replace the card yourself following the guide and using firmware V2.86 and ignore making an ISO of the CD. Just extract the contents only of the zip file to a FAT32 formatted USB drive and do not include the actual zip file on the drive. Then start the vehicle and after a minute insert the USB and hopefully the screen work and detect the USB before asking if you want to update it.

The link to the firmware is in your Private messages

Hi Marc,

Just completed changing SD card and installing firmware you sent me.

Everything works correctly.

Only things I cannot change is km to miles as cannot find it on screen and when changing temperature to Centigrade it reverts back to Fahrenheit.

Many thanks again for your help.

Check your user manual if you have one as I can’t remember off the top of my head where the setting is, and I have to go out now, but will take a look later.

Hi Marc

Just to update you, mileage to kilometres is done through RT6 screen but does not give me this option. I can live with this lol

Thanks again

So this is the place in the menu:
rt6 units.PNG
Also make sure that the units are set correctly from the vehicle configuration menu - accessed by pressing in the left side rotary steering wheel button when the car is stationary. Go into the vehicle configuration and check the units are correctly set there too.

Hi Marc

Just back from car, I downloaded a mirascript program and changed some settings to see what would happen.

I now have the option to change to mph which works. But did notice I do not have the full graphics on the reversing camera which I will try to sort tomorrow.
Also I have successfully installed UK latest map as an update and work fine.

I thank you again for your help from yourself amd other parts of the forum which I have found very informative.

Regards

Gordon

Any ideas how long the light on the USB should flash for after replacing the SD and inserting the USB to reinstall the firmware? It's a USB 2.0 flash drive
