I'm up in the midlands, so my recommendations aren't much use! Citroen dealers aren't much use, I'm afraid (so i've heard..); a good indpedentant is a much better bet! Try here for recommendations in the SE London/Kent area
There are some ways to check the spheres on the car by the 'bouncablility' of the car, although I don't know the figures (something like a 1 second rebound, or something similar...AndersDK??); the accumulator sphere condition can be determined by how often the regulator kicks in (a click or hissing sound); anything over 30 seconds-ish is fine.

Echoing all the above really, except judging from your comments above you are probably a bit nervous about doing the spheres yourself, bang 'Citroen specialist garages kent' or similar into your search engine and see what comes up, I've just got one of my local independants to do all six of mine (sheer laziness!) £181.00 inc vat, the garage you went to probably didn't mention them on the MOT report as, if not leaking anything they all have to be pretty much completely flat to cause suspension problems worse than a plain ole hard ride.

Give it a go mate!
There is untold knowledge and help available from the kind chaps on this forum.
2 weekends ago I did the cambelt, Tensioner and waterpump...
Last weekend I changed the discs and pads all round, new near side brake caliper and brake hose, front struts, all 5 spheres and changed the LHM for hydraflush!
I have no prior experience...But then who needs it when there's this much fatherly advice available at your fingertips!
Thanks again chaps, together you've saved me a fortune![;)]

Tony, well done.[^] I have watched your progress with interest.
Not much on the Xant in a general sense you can't have a go at. They have a few interesting quirks which can be entertaining.
Welcome to Citroen heaven.[8D] Robin
