Re: Another 206 non starter!
I bought a comms unit for my 207 it was pretty easy to replace parts of it. The seller had damaged it but I swapped over the wiper and indicator stalk. I do know you have to replace like for like with these same part number etc. You may not have to replace it see what the scan says.
Oh buggle
Re: Another 206 non starter!
Are you getting a live supply to the injectors or is it the earth pulse that's missing ?
Also you say you have changed the spark plugs & coil but you have not confirmed whether you are getting a spark or not?
Again you say the fuel pump operates when given a 12v feed but is there a supply to it when the engine is cranked?
If there is no supply to the injectors, fuel pump or ignition coil this is sounding like an under bonnet fusebox (BM34) fault. Need the answers to above first though.

Re: Another 206 non starter!
I may not be looking at the correct wiring diagram, just going on basic info you have given...
on the under bonnet fusebox...
The injector 12v supply should come from pin 16 of the 16 way black connector
the ignition coil supply should come from pin 9 of the same connector
The fuel pump supply should be pin 11 of the 16 pin grey connector
if at least 2 of these are missing suspect the under bonnet fusebox.

Re: Another 206 non starter!
Evening guys, sorry for the delay, Im working nightshift, so just checking emails. Thanks Wheeler for those questions......i'll try and remember the sequence.....
I cranked the engine with a multi meter on the fuel pump and one occaision I got 12v for a moment and then it dropped to 8.5v I think, thereafter I struggled to get any reading on those 2 wires. After that, I never heard the pump even try to energise on the key turn before cranking (even though I had depressured the fuel line).
My only check for power at the injectors was to plug in a noid light and crank the engine...and no flashing was seen.
Correct, I didn't ever remove the coil pack and fit the plugs back in it and crank it over......(is that the best way to check for a spark on this type of set up (bring back an HT lead please).
Okay.....I need to be more thorough on my electrical checks obviously......I will scour for pics of the BM34 and get my act together as I want to hit the groudn running on Thursday!
Appreciate the great feedback on here......i wish I had discovered this forum a month ago!

Re: Another 206 non starter!
the best way to test for a spark with this type of coil pack is with these > https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealey-Car-E ... SwQ9hcwIJL
you can also push a spare set of spark plugs into the coil pack & make sure they are all earthed
Might be easier at this point though to just check for a live supply on cranking to the coil pack connector. If there is no live feed to the coil its safe to say there is no spark.
A noid light is a great bit of kit but if there is no pulse it means further checks needed. we need to know if the lack of injector switching signal is due to a missing live supply or missing earth pulse from the ECU.
A faulty crank sensor can also cause loss of spark and injector switching, hence reason we need to know if the no injector switching is due to loss of live or loss of earth pulse.

Okay thanks,
Happy to invest 15 quid in yet more stuff for my garage......but will also gt my head around your guidance on locating a missing live or earth.....

Re: Another 206 non starter!
Hi guys,
Got back yesterday, still waiting for my PP2000 to arrive! But, i tested for spark and im getting a spark!!!
Also noticed the throttle body area has a high pitched noise while the key is in pos 2?
Been trying to check where i have 12v in the BM34 but getting lots of 7.5v across the fuses etc?
Hope the PP2000 tells me something

Re: Another 206 non starter!
Was wondering how i can test for an earth to the injectors please?
The actual earths i can see on the car seem good......but it seems I have something weird going on in that BM34 unit? But im not really sure what im checking for

Re: Another 206 non starter!
Completely normal for this noise with ignition on.
7.5v ?? that doesent sound right
I would check for a live supply to all the injectors on crank, if this is ok then assuming your noid light is working OK then you can safely say you don't have an earth pulse from the ECU.
Go to the pins on the connectors I mentioned at the under bonnet fusebox & check for a live supply at each of them on crank, check with both a voltmeter & a bulb (not LED) test lamp

Re: Another 206 non starter!
Pin 16 with ignition on gives 8.5v
On cranking its getting 10.5-11
Key out its showing 1.85 volts

Re: Another 206 non starter!
Pin 11
0 volts on ignition
On cranking its seeing 11v but that drops down to 9-9.5 while cranking ?

Re: Another 206 non starter!
Ok, my parcel is here, plugged it all in......
Entered the VIN number but PP2000 option was asking for a DAM? No idea what that is?
So i used Diabox option.....P0122 throttle position sensor?
So is that it? I cant see how to run anymore checks of other systems?
Am I missing something?
Cheers
Mark
