Now there's a proper Series 1 DS in the best colour... Another proof of the old rule that says Series 1 cars are the best...

Here's a far more affordable but still classy way to get the top off, even if you do have to mend it first :-D :

May I post a bike pic? It's kind of related (ok, about as tenuous as a link can be).

I had to use this Suzuki Gladius for a couple of days while my bike was being repaired. It is a very long while since I've ridden a truly naked bike with no heated grips, or any sort of screen. Kind of open-top.

Hell, it was horrible on the motorway. I must be old.

You can't get much more open topped than that Mike so it fits very well. Can you make the meet on the meetings thread? How's your lad getting on with vinyl? :-D

Two of my daughters love ragtops and the youngest always wanted a Volvo C70C.
I'm rather surprised she hasn't had one yet.
She was waiting for me outside Newcastle central station, 2 a.m. one Sunday morning, and one pulled up. She got talking to the driver and wheedled a drive around town from him.
He had to get rid of her quicksharp before his girlfriend got off the train.
She was suitably impressed, then bought a SAAB.

Her elder sister used to be a hairdresser - well, beautician - and drives an MX5 currently.

There you go then Steve. You buy it online. Collect it and mend the top and a perfect birthday present for her! :-D

Not bloody likely. I have one to buy for her sister first.
And that would almost certainly be a very expensive foray into the Volvo world.
Although I did have a 265 GLE a long time back.

Great Motoring Disasters-Renault Wind

I have noticed one or two of these knocking about, wondered if they were appropriate for the open-toppage thread and indeed they are, you may expect them to be from the name. Odd looking thing, yes but as odd looking things get a bit of age they become a little more interesting :-D

The genuine original spotting in the wild snapshot is here
