I reckon if you can drive one out of the showroom for 6000 euros, it would be worth it for entertainment and head turning value alone. At one euro per selfie, all you need to do is get 6000 people who want a selfie to share with their internet friends, and you get an ami one for free. :)

What a stir it would cause in Staffordshire if you got one and ferried it home :-D

Only available in France right now, so you are in position A :-D

The CX was a Marmite car when it came out, there was a saying' drive it for less than half an hour and you would never want to drive it again, drive it more than half an hour and you will never want to drive anything else' I fell in to the latter category - but at least it didn't look like that!

The CX is a truly beautiful and stylish car, which can't be said of many moderns and certainly not the Marmite.

It was the apparently 'strange way' it handled that upset some people but they were an absolutely brilliant car to drive when you got used to them. I must have done well in excess of 200,000 miles in them over a 10 year period.

deposits only taken after March 31st i think?
so too late to bring home with me. may try and have a look at one if passing a reasonable sized dealer, although most dealers don't stock cars as we do in the UK to the same degree.
interesting re: trying to use as few unique parts as possible hence the front and rear panels are the same as are the doors so one 'normal' and t'other 'suicide'

"The opening of orders is scheduled for 30 March in France, and a few months later in Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal and then Germany. The first deliveries to customers are scheduled for June in France. Car-sharing at Ami’s wheel will start in Spring in Paris with versions bearing the "Free2Move" logo."

that thing's gotta be some sort of wind up hasn't it. I know modern cars are often fugly but that takes the word to a whole new level

....the days of Wind Tunnel testing for Aerodynamic efficiency seem a long way gone.

I think I have absolutely NO chance of seeing one at the moment..😁
Not sure "going to look at a car" is a valid enough reason to break the lockdown
