I spy electric bikes!

Had a chat with the riders of this. English and touring around Northumberland with friends at Craster, but run a business in France with a fleet of these for their guests and others.

I present the electric tandem.

How much would one of these cost then... :?:

Oooh e-tandem has a Lot of merit! Heard of but not seen as yet, rest assured, not as expensive as a lot of std E-mtb! If you ever fancy a chuckle, have a look at the specialized Sworks turbo levo...

BSA is back.

https://www.rideapart.com/news/527240/m ... ic-models/
In October 2016, India's Mahindra Group purchased BSA for £3.4 million in an effort to reintroduce motorcycles bearing the famous BSA name. (Mahindra group also owns 100% of Peugeot Motocycles since 2019.)

With the company accelerating its electrification plans for 2-wheelers, its French and British subsidiaries now present the perfect opportunity to expand its European range.

The conglomerate’s plans for the BSA brand may not seem as robust, but the brand is committing a lot of resources to the project. In partnership with the U.K.’s Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), Mahindra hopes to develop an electric motorcycle that lives up to the legendary BSA name. APC will fund half of the £9.2M ($12.6M USD) project, with Mahindra providing the rest of the funding.

“...the electric BSA project has been conceived as a true-blue U.K.-designed, developed, and manufactured motorcycle,” added Mahindra. “The project is a partnership supported by the APC of the UK and it will bring in benefits accorded by the U.K. government as an inward investor.”
Wonder if an Electric Gold Star will encompass a convoluted starting procedure just to reflect the original , rather than just switching it on :-D

Had a bit of a delve into Shipping today over on the Public and Commercial Transport thread. A number of stories hit the websites I regularly look at, including the one James has highlighted. Looks like for now the biggest shipping company of them all Maersk, have put at least some of their eggs in the "green Methanol" basket although the vessels on order from Hyundai Heavy Industries will be fitted with Engines that can run on virtually anything, including the existing "Bunker Fuel". They seem to favour a liquid fuel as opposed to gaseous fuels of which green hydrogen would be the most CO2 favourable, if an inefficient fuel to make.

I caught that too Neil, they are powered by Massive engines which with the best will in the world won't be all that economical! 🤪 I guess they are looking to be able run all the new ships on the mix of fuels on equivalent to half the current fleet use?
'Engines that can run on virtually anything' sounds like they have found and rebuilt a load of XUD's for the new ships! 😂😂😂
