The burst tyre saga reminded me, when we were about twelve years old my mate suggested we ride up to see his aunt in Mickleover somewhere up by Derby from our homes in north Birmingham.
We got there but it was a l o n g ride on our home built bikes. (turned out his aunt was the matron in the local mental hospital) (looney bin he called it)
On the way back his tyre burst, we took it off and stuffed it with straw and although a bit bumpy he got back home ok.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

more North than East from Brum to Mickleover...

in other news, another small off on Saturday on the group ride...
banged up right elbow so off the bike for a week or 2 and work for 4 days
very close to this pic, same kerbing [all of 50mm], riding parallel and turning right i failed to lift the front enough to clear, side knobblies dug in and away we went
minor off.JPG
i'm blaming too much sag on the forks :rofl2:

knocked me about a bit at first, checked over by ride leader and insisted on escorting me home, luckily only 2 mile away and being able to do it by road

Bike was ok though
it does also mean i should have time to give it a 'proper' service at last
currently '06 C5 2.0 HDi auto estate Tip run and France trekker - well should be!! occupied currently by '10 Superb DSG 170 elegance- whistles and bells that work

The name Valeo should be well enough known on the FCF, so what are they doing in the world of electric bikes :?:

They are certainly bullish (yes got the spelling right) about the e-bike market, and want their own piece of the revolution.

Automatic Transmission and belt drive
