In the sales guff for this there is a bit of a reference to the famous "Sweeney" car. For years I have been mistaken that the "Sweeney" Bronze Ford was a Granada, it was actually a pre-Granada badging, 1974 Ford Consul 3000 GT :-D

Bit of reading here. https://drive-my.com/the-sweeney-1974-f ... l-3000-gt/

That Consul looks great in yellow

The Sweeney is possibly one of my favourite TV dramas ever... It was so powerful, atmospheric in a dark way and had a superb cast...

No, it belongs to Antman (and the Wasp). It would need another pair of lights for Spiderman to use it!

I don't like the colour either, mine was white. Not by choice, it just was.
Yes, it has a clutch but a surprisingly light clutch and the gears were so slick, could change gear with a finger and thumb at the base of the stick, like operating a light switch.
Same with the steering, very light but accurate.
Much faster than was intended. IIRC the designed top speed was 87mph. It carried on accelerating after the needle hit the stop.

A yellow GS - my dream car and as for me, Citroen perfection :) If I had deep enough pockets and a big enough space in my garage...

I would say the deepness of pocket would not be a problem (for the initial purchase anyway). In spite of its appeal to the FCF faithful I would guess it is more than likely not to meet it's estimate of £3,000 to £4,000. The pool of likely serious bidders could be small. Never going to make money for a trader, and the reminiscers who may have had one in the past are more likely to be window shoppers than serious bidders.
