1,Guy that did the clutch on our manual one had to tack weld the nuts to the body to get them out) -
2,Although no way would I buy a S/H one!).
3,Trouble is if the clutch bearing is done, then most likely the clutch (and flywheel) is too
4,And then you need a LEXIA to make it work again - and this is where the real trouble starts. Once they have lost the plot it seems a lottery as to whether they will work again; my mate had the box replaced on his, then ended up replacing the whole actuator, but it was never happy, and threw in the towel after only a few k miles and he couldn't get it to re-program so had to scrap it.
5,Don't want to put you off trying, but just want you to be going in with your eyes open!!

1, always looking for an excuse to get the welder out :rofl2:
2, Agree if you have gone to this extent!!
3, As above, was kind of thinking ha, no DMF, but you think the flywheel also?
4, As in the £40 thing from fleabay? I take it it's a case of reactivating the sensors and re-positioning the actuators, i bet bleeding it is possibly what causes a lot of trouble?
5, I really appreciate the time and effort you guys put into your posts, thanks

3 - was forgetting this is a 2.0i - looks like a conventional solid flywheel!
4 - you need a bit more than £40 - Easydiagnostics is the usually recommended vendor; members on here get a discount from them. Once re-installed you need to re-pressurise the system, then bleed the clutch actuator, then program the gear change grid, then set the clutch biting point - all of which needs to be done via Diagbox. The programming is sensitive to battery voltage, and apparently usually won't work off the car's battery alone - you need to jump it off something else to keep the voltage up.
5 - no problem; it beats actually working on them in the cold and wet!!

Thanks Richard, Just to clarify the lexia 3 is the equivalent of the Renault can clip interface and the diagbox the same as the actual program. They seem to be out of stock on the lexia3, what about this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PP2000-Lexia ... .l4275.c10?

Well soon it's going to be wet and cold, making the most of this lovely weather. I have stripped out a little more and it's looking more like the clutch cylinder. Have a look on the video, the space to get the box out doesn't look do-able without removing the sub-frame, what do you think. Will have a look at a few other posts!!!!

Many thanks

I wouldn't bother with that - it looks too cheap to be a 'full chip' unit which is needed for full CAN multiplexed vehicles. The clue is in the bit that says it can't be upgraded.

We do have a link to a member recommended UK supplier with backup support and a discount for members: follow the link in this post if you are interested:

Yes, it's a good tool to have if you have Citroen, Peugeot or DS Automobile vehicles - think of it as an invenstment. When you consider the dealer has to charge for diagnostic time at about anything up to £90 an hour - it can pay for itself quite quickly.

On the wider issue, as Richard has said, these systems are a sod to get put right - and it can be a challenge. They are nice cars when they are working well though :-D

That bit directly under the gearbox is separate from the subframe, and can be removed:

Yes, the bolt / nut you pointed at is the one that will likely prove difficult......

GMAB that's what I thought with the can clip, until I deleted xp, then my interface didn't want to work with W10.

Legend, Richard can I ask where you got these images from? That looks so much easier

Sorry GMAB, just looking for prices, can you double check with the VIN, as the 143bhp versions appear to be from 2010 only, and the 140bhp are from 2006, and its a 57 plate. The only reason i query is because two sites have it wrong.

regards.

No, all correct. That’s why we ask for the VIN. This data is direct from Citroen as your car left the factory. Never trust third party sites, as invariably, their data in incorrect as we see time and time again here with people getting wrong parts.

That’s another reason why I will only provide official part numbers in order that members can then do their own searching knowing they have the correct part number.

Other aftermarket suppliers very often have the wrong specs on the databases.

Your car was built 22 Feb 2007.

Those are just parts catalogues, we get ours from the official PSA site. Parts diagrams are freely available, but access to technical documentation is chargeable.

Yeah, but sometimes it's good to get a idea of whats what with it. I've got another problem, haynes don't do a manual for the c4 Picasso, am i right in thinking a normal c4 will be similar in regards to the box etc, obviously the sub frame may be different??
