The diagrams that Marc posted on the previous page seem to match the pump shown here , but in your picture, the connectors seem to be different.

The pic is taken from top of engine bay.
The black box is the LDS tank.
The wires are at the gap in front of the LDS tank and front light.

Have a look at my other post on a previous C5 where another owner had a similar issue with the wires cut. You can see the wires

There were only 3 wires utilised in the larger connector in his case, but the large 2 connector is the power and earth which is out of shot on your picture. So you have just got the ECU connector showing in your picture.

So it would seem you have all 3 wires as they should be. The other connections to the ECU are obviously not utilised so far as I can see.

Ok, here's a cross-section of the LDS tank. The parts I've marked in green are referenced in the table and show whether outward or return line of the hydraulic fluid. The parts I've arrowed in red show the seam and this is where it can become weakened over time if the correct lifting procedure is not followed whenever the vehicle will be lifted with wheels hanging freely.

Not to hijack this thread or anything but only pipe 'D' on that diagram runs to the GEP on my X7, it has no return as such. I''m assuming this was different for the MK2?

On that diagram ‘b’ is the PS supply to he pump and ‘d’ is the return. This is for a MK II yes Elis.
