There was some info that he was retiring so looks like his work is lost from the net! Much of his work was commissions for lorry drivers and their families. I do have one of his books "Roadscape II", not surprisingly his follow up to "Roadscape". Excellent stories about the pics as well as the pics themselves.
I find that he has a link with Newcastle.

Originally from London, he took the subject (art) at A-level but failed an interview for art school in Newcastle. That set back eventually led him down a totally different career route - truck driving.
"I hitched a lift with a truck driver back from Newcastle after my failed art school interview and he was quite a character," said Mr Spillett, ....."I thought his job was great and soon afterwards I got a driving job through my brother."
