That is only to configure the dashboard multifunction screen fo a non-factory fitted option to display navigation instructions. You shouldn’t change anything there for a factory fitted system or you could find you will have no data when you get the unit fixed.

Vborovic was changing from a vehicle with no previous navigation system, so needed to configure his dash correctly.

Hi guys! First of all I would like to thank you for your help and support!
After I spoke with Harman & Becker, they gave me the details of their service partner from Germany. I contacted them and they told me that I must send the unit to them and they will fix it. When I asked about the price, they told me that, apart from delivery costs, there's a 50 euro fee for the diagnose and then depending on what they have to fix.
I spoke with Clarion UK and they told me that they are working only in partnership with a dealer, so I must go to a dealer, the dealer will remove the unit from the car and arrange a collection for Clarion UK. Clarion UK will send the unit to Clarion France to be fixed and then back on the same route to the dealer to be installed back on the car. Regarding the costs, I must speak with the dealer as they will tell me the price. I told them if can send the unit to them but they remind me that they don't work with private persons.
I sent an email to Citroen Hatfield, but they didn't replied until now.
I also sent an email to the spanish company but they didn't replied until now.
So, in the end I bought a RNEG unit from eBay, put it on the car (rewrite the VIN code), install the rneg50b software (as it had rneg20) and it's working fine with 10-12 satellites conection.

For others with the same issue I have the following solutions:
1. You can go to a local dealer and ask for the Clarion service
2. You can get in contact to the German service and send them the unit
3. You can buy another unit

The German service details are:

Albert Kempf GmbH
Brebacher Landstraße 15

Telefon: 0049-681-66333
Telefax: 0049-681-67100
E-Mail: service@sc-kempf.de
Internet: http://www.sc-kempf.de
Geschäftsinhaberin (Owner): Elke Kempf
Geschäftszeiten (Business Hours): Montag - Freitag: 08:00 - 16:00

Thank you again for your help and support!

Glad you finally have it sorted - the costs of repair are normally expensive and there is generally a minimum charge regardless of the fault.

There can be many faults with these and pinning t down is difficult if there are no codes returned from Diagbox.

You may be able to buy a second hand unit for much less, such as you have done. There's always a risk with that - but hey, that's life! :-D

Thanks for posting the other information up on the repair centre in Germany - I will add it to the other links on the forum.

Everyone is looking for the costs, so in the end, this was the cheaper solution, in my case.
I didn't put the other service companies details, as it were already in the post. It's good to put them together. Maybe others have realatives in those countries and they can sort it out there. It's good to have more options.
Cheers!

Hi! I have the same problem, water ingress on my roof antenna, C5 2012 New Look HDi 138 Exclusive. Upgraded firnmware of the RT6 via Citroen official CD to 2.86B from original and updated all maps. Bought a cheap GPS antenna (£8.99!!) and it works perfectly, showing 8 satellites and gaining position very quickly, so its the roof unit, mine has the stubby antenna. As the cheap add-in GPS antennae are not waterproof I would like to replace the roof unit - trouble is there are several and they are not interchangeable, plus my New Look model doesn't appear in many search engines - even the owners handbook refers to the previous model! Any idea of the official part number of just the roof unit?
BTW updated firmware meant that I could use the driver's "comfort" seat movement and corner headlighting! Not managed to set the door mirrors to dip on parking yet though....
