Re: 2.0HDI hunting at idle
Would that stuff run it out of the tank up through to the fuel filter or would it dissolve it sufficiently to pass on through through the injectors and burnt off?

I imagine you would need to carry replacement filters and be ready to change at any moment.
Similar to changing an IDI diesel to veg or bio which was very good at scouring the tank of built-up residues from dinodiesel.
I have no personal experience of this, just info from this and similar forums.

Re: 2.0HDI hunting at idle
Dammit!
EML is now on and rev limited to 2200rpm.
Annoyingly I was in the process of setting up an old laptop for the lexia but this has came too soon.
So, at a guess it is fuel related although I didn't agitate anything when removing the pump. Car is revving freely up to the 2.2k limit.
So guessing either the in tank pump, hp pump or injectors are crying. If it is injectors I'd say the price would make the car scrap? Hp pump would not be cheap either?
Hopefully just needs the fuel system cleaned. Any ideas of cost for that?
F**k it.

You'll know better when you get the Lexia on it.

And light now out.
The fault code will be in the history though?

It should be recorded in the log - it depends, because if the conditions for the fault to self-clear are met, then it may be classed as intermittent or a one off. But it should be logged.
