Now as well as the customary picture of the mile-o-meter, what random link is there to the number?
Well first up. This nice picture of a pair of Hooded Ringed Plovers taken on 15th October 2007 on Cotter Beach by Tony Morris.
Now then...can anyone be bothered to take up another random link from that snippet of info? Where's Cotter beach? What was going on in the world on 15/10/2007 when the photo was taken?
Regards Neil

Re: Significant Mileage Photos...
missed 252525 as well, near Boulogne heading for Calais the other day
250,000 was also passed abroad, couple of weeks ago, near Luxembourg, probably within a mile or two of the previous failed 234567, forgot that until a few miles too late as well
tempting fate, roll on towards 262626, possibly even this year the way things are going

On my return up the A1 from Long Newton this evening - grandson #3's 17th birthday.
Absolutely slinging it down, thought I was going to miss it but pulled onto the hard shoulder three miles short of the Chester Le Street turn off.

That is just a moment of "deep joy"* for the number noticer and random coincidence lover!

Yes I do indeed remember Neil, I was always fascinated by the apparent elasticity of his cheeks and lips while giving vent to his unique interpretations of our language. A feature not seen again until Les Dawson introduced us to his washer woman character with Roy Barrowclough. "Rubber lips"
- a term of endearment rather than insult as when applied to the likes of Mick Jagger!!
PS I hope you had a nice day out!!

Was that a message for Richard W perhaps Mick? My day so far has been having BT remove that vintage lead telephone cable posted earlier, and fit a new master socket to replace an equally ancient article!, and walking the dog! and twanging the guitar a bit. Quite mundane really!

Well of course I hope everybody has nice days out Neil, but I was actually referring to your seeming to not be around yesterday!!
Great coincidence that Richard and well spotted. It has made me check my mileometer so watch out for something in another 57 miles. Should be later today as I have an airport pickup to do this afternoon!

As forecast earlier I hit a palindrome today:
which was soon followed by a pretty looker:
A good day all round
