Gives anyone the chance now to recreate the scene with their own vehicle when next in the Dales! :-D

I think 500 points for the first original unedited picture of a French car in the picture is not unreasonable? :-D

Indeed you have Neil and I have just realised that you don't have the Renault anymore so it could be trickier, but where there's a will........ :-D Having been through the dales during the Stroll it is not likely that I will be up there again for a while but there must be others passing through who can make a quick diversion.. :)

Believe me if I make it with the Leaf or the Micra I'll be awarding myself the points regardless :-D

That's not where the waterfalls are? Seem to recognise the bridge - probably wrong though.

Yep, I see it all now - some of it. Askrigg is not far from Hawes, where the original Skeldale House is.

We stayed in a cottage in Sedbusk for a week in 1983 and I remember going to see Hardraw Force which was through a pub in Hardraw. I think it was called The Green Man or Green Dragon or similar and the force was actually through the bar in the pub garden. Hawes was a nice town with the rope makers, three pubs and a chippy cooking in dripping!! That is where I first tasted Thwaites beer and loved it ever since!! :-D

Both places are known for the number and variety of waterfalls they have. Now the OTCL has featured waterfalls recently in POTD and in Mick's Motoring September Stroll with High Force so both are linked but in my opinion POTD has to be the thread for waterfall posts as they are so picturesque wherever they are!! :-D

Undeniably they are so a valid answer Mick, but the answer I was thinking of was more of an "experience" on a mode of transport which isnt available at many locations in the World and those two are the most well known! See if you can follow my drift on that and come up with the answer on my card :-D

Simple DDG or Google Query produces the answer on the card. The one in the Bohol (Philippines) was the first but the one in Huasteca Potosina is probably the more spectacular and the longest. So have a trip to the Chocolate Hills in Bohol and its adventure park, and find another in Huasteca and post up the answer.
