Result
Falcon 2 Heardle 5
60's (2 Secs); 80's (17 secs).
Tale of chances missed on the 70's, and 00's which were in my gettable range. Another heardle over-appearer for the 70's had me thinking it can't be them.
Regards Neil

Original: Clueless.
60's: Two seconds
70's: Got the group, not the song (I don't like it).
80's: Not a hope...
90's: Not here either.
00's: Nope.
Alt 00's: Not here either.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Another miserable effort today, just the 2 secs on the 60s to complete the total failure on the rest!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Tale of chances missed on the 90's, in my gettable range, and knew the song on the alt 00's but couldn't name it or the artist. Pleased to immediately nail the classic Roker Park anthem "Cheer up Peter Reid" on the 60's heardle.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Never heard of that but I took a mate in the Xantia and this came on and he said "They are playing our song"!NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑18 Sep 2022, 09:55 Pleased to immediately nail the classic Roker Park anthem "Cheer up Peter Reid" on the 60's heardle.
Hadn't a clue what he meant and he had to explain it was associated with SAFC.
From 1' 35".
I had no idea.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Followers of the Pickled Egg Quiz thread will have had a decent chance of making the correct connection on Only Connect tonight, when Eleanor of Castille cropped up.

Not many of 12 originals remain intact.
I think the drawing is indeed of the bridge with the ford looking towards the Eleanor Cross with the three roof window house prominently featuring. Sort of this scene here. Yes the Church should be to the right of the prominent house. but the rest of the scene mimics todays view well enough for me.

60s 2 secs.
70s 5 secs
The rest were fails except original 00s which I could not view here!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Original: Recognised but unable to name it. Didn't know the name and have never listened knowingly to the band.
Sixties: Instant recognition but again, unable to name either song or band.
Seventies: 3 seconds, got one at last. One of the two songs of his that I like. Realised that it is the music I like but not his voice.
Eighties: Back to the miserable failures.
Nineties: Ditto.
00s: Unavailable here.
Other 00s. Clueless.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
This was today's effort...
Result ignoring Original Heardle on the grounds of absolute awfulness didn't even check who it was.
Falcon 2 Heardle 4
60's (2 Secs) easy enough 70's (3 Secs) initial thought was Carole Bayer Sager with song of similar name.
Regards Neil
