Spot on Mick, it's a spitfires undercarriage locking pin, but it's the best door stopper/wedge ever. I forgot I had it, found it in the loft

A dismal day on the erdles, I didn't even recognise the 60s with a full playing!!! Likewise my other heardle efforts added up to a big fat zero!!! My only compensation was a bullseye on Worldle and two 3s on the nerdles!! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Original Heardle: Completely unknown
60's Heardle: As above
70's Heardle: Not a hope
80's Heardle: Another flop

Optional Bonuses
90's Heardle: Never heard it/them
00's Heardle: Completes the set of dismal failures.

I came down to the dining room to do the heardles so as not to disturb my grandson, who works until 11 p.m.
And forgot. Pottering around and doing other stuff it completely slipped my mind until your post Mick.

Original Heardle: Unrecognised and unknown.
60's Heardle: Nine seconds. The video is excellent :)
70's Heardle: Haven't heard this version. The original is unbeatable.
80's Heardle: No hope.

Optional Bonuses
90's Heardle: Recognised the voice at ten seconds but not the song.
00's Heardle: Unknown but I don't like them anyway, other than a brief association with a female musician.

Another floppy day.

Original Heardle: fail.....UK players must be switching off in their droves with the constant procession of USA dross.
60's Heardle: 12 seconds. Until this morning I always heard that as the cartoon character.
70's Heardle: needed the vocal so 17 seconds superb song.
80's Heardle: 2 seconds one of "my" bands.

Optional Bonuses
90's Heardle: 12 seconds needed the voice
00's Heardle: fail.

4 out of 6 ain't bad as Meatloaf didn't sing.

This is getting monotonous, 60s instant recognition but took 5 secs to name it, the rest a complete wipeout as usual! :-D

Original : Yuk! No, of course.
60's Heardle: Nine Seconds
70's Heardle: No, not unsurprisingly as I don't like him or most of his music.
80's Heardle: Another no.
90's Heardle: And another no.
00's Heardle: And again, not a hope.

Skipped a couple of days to keep it fresh, :-D
Original Heardle: 2 Seconds
60's Heardle: used the 17, failed but when it came up, said "I thought it might be them"...yes not very convincing
70's Heardle: 2 seconds... Juke Box Classic.
80's Heardle: 2 Seconds

Optional Bonuses
90's Heardle: 12 Seconds Not one of my favourite genres, but turns out I was familiar with their work!
00's Heardle: Fail...for me the worst genre ever invented, barring the early efforts of Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five.

4 out of 6

Original Heardle: Clueless.
60's Heardle: Almost but not quite. Disgraceful considering where they are from and I used to work for a bloke with the same name as the singist.
70's Heardle: Another almost.
80's Heardle: And another
90's Heardle: Eight Seconds
00's Heardle: Flop

Possibly my best ever day on the dles:
Original. No idea
60s. 2 secs
70s 12 secs
80s. 5 secs
90s. 2 secs
00s. No idea

So that's 4 out of 6, a Falcon level score, but sensational for a maverick :-D

For those who want to join the throng doing the heardles here's the links. Today may be a good day to give it a go. Looks like the 60's is the premier decade for recognisable intros for the current crop of Heardlers, but maybe a decent chance on the others today. :-D

The Regulars
Original Heardle https://www.spotify.com/heardle/ .
60's heardle, https://www.60s.heardledecades.com/
70's heardle, https://www.70s.heardledecades.com/
80's heardle https://heardle80s.com/

Optional Bonuses
90's Heardle https://www.90s.heardledecades.com/
00's Heardle https://2000sheardle.glitch.me/

4 out of 6 missed out on Original and 00's, and a nearly miss on the 60's but I think Steve's comment had me guessing in the right direction got it in 17 secs :-D
