Just had a listen or two to Jimi Hendrix Red House live at Sweden.
If you like the blues, like Jimi Hendrix, and can appreciate effortless genius in guitar playing, seek it out and enjoy it.

If you like the ladies have a look at this list of the 70s and take your pick.

Now you can't put a list like that up without naming your choice for number one Gibbo!! For me it's Karen Carpenter by a country mile from those offered. :-D

Crystal Gale for me Mick but I like a lot of them. There's one Brit lady who was a bit too early for that list Alma Cogan.

If you go to the bottom of the list it says show more, I think there's a hundred altogether Mick.

OK, I withdraw my cheating accusation :-D However there are actually 110 listed and I still find it hard to top Karen Carpenter for tone, tune and involvement with the music. As a young lad I was in love with Pet Clarke but I grew out of that!! :-D

Heardle

2 Seconds, and an Absolute Classic today...1979 and another one featuring the famous stratocaster called "The Hitmaker" :?: and subsequently one of the most sampled tunes in music. If you had darkened the doors of a discotheque in the late 70's early 80's you will be familiar with the tune.

Plenty clues there so every chance that a blank will not be drawn by the FCF faithful :-D

Yesterdays was "Build me up Buttercup" performed by the Foundations. Written by the former Manfred Mann singer Mike D'Abo. Avid followers of Lincolnshire's day in the spotlight will be familiar with Mike's other work. He used the tune of "The Lincolnshire Poacher" to come up with "A finger of fudge is just enough to give your kids a treat", as well writing the more classic "Handbags and Gladrags".

Typical that I missed yesterday's altogether due to my trip out, I may have had a chance with that. No chance today despite it being vaguely familiar!! :-D
