Heardle Fail today. Seeing as Taylor Swift wasn't an option, I did have the correct artist suggested to me but rejected it in favour of a title which better matched the heard lyrics from someone I had never heard of.

Absolutely massive hit but didn't recognise it, and couldn't sing a word of it.

2013, not exactly my era of intro knowledge

I actually knew that, no idea why as I never listen to her, or Swifty.

Perhaps because of this:

Back to virtuoso status with a 1 second job today for me for this artist's 2002 first solo single on Heardle today.

I'm guessing unless plays on the car radio seeped through, it may have passed by without being stored for future heardle intro success.

picture clue if it helps

Yesterdays was in the genre gansta rap..........no thanks.....no chance

Today back to a simple good result in the 16 seconds today on Heardle today.

1980 so maybe should have got it earlier, but it took too much time to be recognisable.

Been watching that 1% quiz thing on ITV.

My view as it racks up in difficulty up to the 1% question for £100,000 it that there isnt time in the 30 secs to logically come up with the answers to some of the puzzles. Some acquired knowledge of the "type" of puzzle is necessary.

Bit like Only Connect. The more you watch it you begin to see the "type" of connections which are used. I'm sure an "only connecter" would do well at the 1% type of questions.

Last nights

SENTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT............what is the next letter in the sequence.?

The person not knowing the Type of question would never get that in 30 seconds.

The person who risked £10,000 and came away with nothing made a bit of a ridiculous bet that they would get the 1% question. Odds were hugely against getting it and she bet £10,000 on it.....odd behaviour indeed. Like picking 1 horse out of a 100 horse race with no knowledge of its previous performances and sticking £10,000 on it to win.

I got one of those type questions earlier in the night right

Whats the highest number which doesnt include an N between 1 and 10 thousand or something like that.
Key being you eliminate anything over 100 and the highest is eighty eight.

Interesting enough, but a different type of general knowledge, spatial awareness/letter/word puzzles under time pressure.

Here's one one from the local radio the other day
What is next word in the sequence :?:
Repair

Aircraft

Aftertaste

Steer

:?:

Easier written down than doing it in your head while driving! Again I think I go for semantics first rather than patterns, which in the case of that puzzler was useless. Correct, did you get/see the 1% question :?:

I quite like it, sometimes in a shout at the telly sort of way, as my answer which appears perfectly valid to me are incorrect. So the 1% question, if you didnt watch it, can you get it

SENTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

What is the next letter in the sequence. :?:

If anyone wants to dive into the answer straight away its this. No way was that worth putting a £10,000 bet on.
Spoiler: show
F
The letters are the first letters of the numbers Seventeen to Thirty-Nine so the next in the sequence Forty starts with F
