I got the Heardle today (sort of). First guess was Simple Minds Alive and Kicking. Skipped a couple and by the fourth selection I knew the tune and guessed the right band as it turned out but wrong song. Skipped to the final choice to get the full 16 seconds.

Thought Stereophonics, Killers, Nickelback, but after a small amount of research, came up with the track.

So official fail, but did know the tune and wasn't far off.

Daily exercise
Worldle Wordle Nerdle Heardle

In the time honoured order today went
6 with the Country ID,
4 with the 5 letter word, from RETRO to the answer (I either use RFW (random first word) technique or go for the 4VFW (4 vowel first word) technique eg AUDIO and rarely the 5CFW (5 consonant first word) technique eg NYMPH)
3 with the numbers

and
An official 6 and out on the music, but again like yesterday, and the day before, knew the tune, researched it and produced the answer, but... in the spirit of fair play, not claiming anything other than the 6 and out. again :-D

I've awarded myself a special half-point for finding the answer before revealing it on heardle :-D

Regards Neil

Worldle Wordle Nerdle Heardle

..Small improvement required on Heardle to make it of more widespread appeal...

if it gave the option of "Choose your decade :!:" :-D Yes I would select 1970's or 1980's for my daily Heardle work out. :-D

The scores
Bullseye (load of islands splattered all over the place), 5, 4, and no chance

Be doing mine later on but your "no chance" on the heardle is likely to be followed by a similar result from me unless its Grandmaster flash and the furious five with "The Message"....embryonic 1980's hip hop and the only "rap" single I ever bought!

Ditto, but the song turns out to be called the only lyric she sang in the intro.

Worldle After my third guess I came up against the Worldle game guide...
Each guess must be a valid country, territory, ...

and the guessing to the answer went through a series on non-countries. Took 6 attempts to get the answer and wasted a bit of time looking for Harold Wilson's favourite holiday destination which was not on the accepted answers list.

Failed on wordle, today got the last 4 letters in the right place but was tripped up because at that stage there were 5 alternative words which could be made with the remaining letters and used up attempts with the wrong ones.

Went pretty well today on the rdles until the last one! Really should have had an idea about the artist there but never a favourite of mine so I didn't recognise her. :-D
So my scoring was 5, 4, 4, fail. The worldle was also a slice of fortune, going on those distances after 4 guesses where on earth....? Picked first unknown from the dropdown list and struck lucky!! :-D
Spoiler: show
