Glad you all enjoyed it, and many thanks for participating :) Think yourselves lucky that it wasn't 19 motorbikes and 1 car, or maybe a selection of steam and diesel locos to identify
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

A very quick one question quiz: Which famous motorist advertised this product? My mum always had two in the house but she is not the answer! :-D

Your timing was impeccable, Mick. This was on MSN about an hour before your query!

Remember this Mens Hairspray

Another famous driver did an advert for it in the 1970's,

Who was the driver? (note...not in this video)

Would you be thinking of Roger Clark, because Cossack sponsored his rally car? :)

That's correct Mick but I think the internet and youtube has forgotten the ad because I can find no evidence of it now.
His Barnet hardly moved in spite of all the rigours of a fast drive on rough roads. Did rally drivers wear crash helmets in the 1970's?

Do you remember it?

I have a vague recollection but all I could find was the ad in the spoiler I've edited in. Still looking at the moment. :)

Indeed they did as is evidenced by this clip of the 1976 RAC Rally with Roger in his Cossack Escort RS
