I suspect it also has the added advantage of providing additional protection for the radiator and A/C condenser from stone chips too.

Yes to the radiator, but not the A/C condenser, the guard only covers about 80% of the lower grille, that is from the right hand side towards the left. If I remember I will take a photo tomorrow.

Thanks for all the info. I am pretty sure the injectors need cleaning as the car mpg has been over reading when i've checked it against gallons put in the car.

Think i'll try some millers cleaner and see what happens. Otherwise it's just more winter blues.
