Tinfoil, no. They're solid little buggers, well screwed together.

And much prettier from the back than the front, which is how many drivers will see a good Volcane!

I owned a 1.8 avantage zx for a while after my first marriage went. It replaced a 6 month old picasso hdi in 2004, and it was L reg with over 100k covered, so it didnt really stand a chance with me, being a stopgap car to keep me mobile during a bad spell. It was a decent car though, I wish I had given it a better chancs instead of trading it in for a fiat punto! If I remember correctly it was a solid little car and much better than the escort/astra of the day.

I had a 1.4 Petrol and two 1.9 TD ZXs. Great cars. Really comfy seats. Nippy too, very light as I think some panels are not steel.

I recall that the BX also had a GRP bonnet.

Most but not all as I recall James... I can't think now which did and which did not... I also seem to think the AX did too. I know it had a plastic tailgate... Maybe only the S1 AX had a plastic bonnet...

Definitely a plastic bum... I found out on mine of some years ago by trying to put a magnetic L-plate on it. Learner daughter found it highly amusing!

Alasdair I don’t seem to be getting through. I’m finding the forum systems very frustrating. I am very happy with either Monday or Tuesday and can be around at any time to suit you.
