Mainly to Stickyfinger - it looks like my message to you yesterday morning has disappeared into the IT ether. It included new pics of the car and the message that if you still want it, the Volcane is yours. Sorry about my fat iPad fingers.

Hi Stuart...
Yes please, that is a deal then.

Let me arrange to borrow my mate's trailer and get back to you on the pick up date.

Cheers.

Just about to post when yours arrived! Sunday is a bit tricky for times in that I’m manning a charity stall in our local market place all afternoon and can’t duck out of that. I’d have to be leaving home by 12.45 latest. If you can do it by 12.00 say, that'd be ok. Sorry I know that’s a bit tight from where you are.
I’m retired so am usually around anytime during the week. Next weekend is a bit busy in that I’m away all day Sat and on Sunday morning until 2.00-ish... fine after that.
Just looked out at the Volcane... swear it was shedding a tear from a headlamp.. or perhaps my specs misting up!
Cheers Stuart

LOL.....sad to go....but I have a lot of treats for it so it should be happy after a short time suffering :)

I need to look at times but I think I could get there in the late morning if that is OK (about 10-30am).....leaving at about 5.30am (ish) would make a nice easy trip up as traffic will be light.

I do not have a winch on the trailer.....does the car start ?

Feel very free to call in on me on your way back Alasdair - unless you want to pick me up on the way and I can then keep you company :)

Not really a worry - ZXs are mostly made of tinfoil, so it won't take much pushing  !! I imagine it rather shifts with the 2.0i 16V engine in it

Looks like a recipe for a good outcome. :)
I have a soft-spot for ZX, having taken one from new to 90k+ in under three years at work. A really competent car, even though 1.9D auto! Yours is something else.
