Can't wait to see the ZX properly tomorrow Alasdair I have my two-pin leads for the ELIT packed so we can run diagnostics across both her and the AX...

Yes, I am paranoid, but am I paranoid ENOUGH?
Out amongst the stars, looking for a world of my own!
I am very glad you like the progress Stewart, I am still not sure (not really driven it yet except on off ramps/into the garage) if I will "get on with it", time and some driving will tell.

She's looking good, if you don't find you enjoy the car after getting back on the road we may be interested in taking her in as a replacement "summer car" for the Escort cabby. I know I love how ZX's drive and ride, and even being a petrol example would be fine for summer fun, maybe even preferable. (I know there's no drop-top but the French-ness more than makes up for that and the Escort I've just lost the passion for really, just doesn't feel the same as PSA kit)
Also, do I spy genuine Citroen headlamp protectors? If so, I've only seen them on this and our own previous ZX (where they were cracked)...
Thank you those headlamp protectors look the business IMO wish I saw more of them... Wish we saw more ZXs in general really, still long-term aiming for a Black 3dr Volcane 1.9TD as early a model as possible. The way they've been undervalued for so long though not sure if it's realistic to hold out for the "perfect" car while they continue to vanish...
Not many remaining that is for sure, I agree a 3 door looks the best.
Interestingly I have just been offered a set of throttle bodies for this....ummmmm
Interesting indeed, as long as fitment is fully reversible without having to modify/cut anything out then it'd be almost impossible not to just "check" what effect it has...
Am I right in thinking the 2.0i is effectively the Mi16 engine without the fancy pipes??? Or is there more/less to it than that?
