Yes I have... No good I'm sad to say but I do have a Sealskins skullcap and that is just wonderful... Keeps my head really toasty warm on the coldest of days and slips under my helmet a treat :)

Second Timmo on that. I use Sealskinz but don't have any silk liners (which apparently make a huge difference and probably stop your hands sweating!)

I bought (for my Mum, for Christmas) two pairs of heated gloves (battery operated, 3 AA batteries each), that will heat the fingers (most just heat the back of the hands), as cold weather causes her fingers pain.

True! Now I think of it, I've had the best results of all when wearing my thin running gloves under my normal winter bike gloves but even then it's not perfect as like your mum James, I suffer terrible finger pain in the cold...

Thing is with cycling gloves is the need to retain a lot of digital dexterity for braking, gear changing and not least being able to grip the bars...

That rules out anything bulky and/or stiff; this effectively rules out any artificially heated ones...

Oddly, I have no problem with cold feet...

Re; your feet. That is because the muscles in your working calf muscles are effectively a pump for the return flow.....or leak back :)....so increasing the low pressure in the veins (which have non-return valves btw) and thus allowing for increased blood flow.

Which is odd as my feet often get cold when riding with either merino liners or thick woolys under my sealskins yet my hands are Generally toasty!
