Yes, exactly!GiveMeABreak wrote: ↑29 Aug 2017, 19:27 Sorry, what do you mean 'crane'? I think it's getting lost in translation? Do you mean window regulator?

That was my take on it too.

Re: The crane from driver's window acting weird
Ok, I still think it is the anti- pinch protection. It looks like it is encountering some resistance and activating the anti-pinch.
I would double check you have aligned everything properly and make sure nothing is rubbing or catching on the channels. You should apply some grease to the regulator cables, and I would spray some silicon spray inside each of the window channels and work the windows up and down.
Ultimately this is a safety feature, and there must be some resistance to make it reverse.

Re: The crane from driver's window acting weird
My Take ia that he doesn't know where to stop. I've tested the window regulator before fitting and it worked properly. After fitting I've taked a look inside and every thing seems fine I couldn't find anything that could prevent the window to close properly.
Also keep in mind that the windows is closing every time all the way up until the end but the window regulator tries to go further and only then I have this problem. There is no problem lifting the window all the way up, it goes smoothly.

Re: The crane from driver's window acting weird
Ok, well the only thing I can think of now is to remove power from the car and reset the ECU.
Let the window go down, open the bonnet and close all the doors and boot.
Leave the car 10 minutes.
Disconnect the negative terminal and leave it for 15 minutes.
Then connect it back up and leave it for another 5 minutes.
Reach into the car without opening door, switch ignition on but don't start.
Hold lock button on key fob down for 5 to 10 secs, switch off ignition.
Lock car with fob
Unlock with fob
Open car and start her up.
Now try the window reinitialisation again.
See if this fixes it.

Did it and Wien I reached the part when I have to pull up the window and holding it there for a few secs I got the same result.

Re: The driver's window regulator acting weird
I note from that you are HOLDING the window switch down (it will try to auto close)
.......Tap the switch till it gets to the top a little at a time.....then HOLD it UP for 10 secs, then Hold the switch Down (then hold for 10 secs) then HOLD back up again and hold for 10 secs..

I did that many times with the same outcome.

Re: The driver's window regulator acting weird
Ok, from your last video, I can definitely hear a straining noise from the window, like a squeaking noise - especially when it goes down, so it must be very tight or out of alignment at some point. That is very likely what is causing the anti pinch to kick in every time. Until you find out why it is too tight, this problem will remain I think. There isn't another solution until you have corrected it as the motors are designed to reverse as a safety feature. There is no other recalibration you can do, or any other settings to change listed on the documents.

Re: The driver's window regulator acting weird
Even so this doesn't explain the fact that once the window reaches his top position and I pull one more time the button up, the window regulator brings automatically the window down. There is no more space for the window to go up, that would be the final position so why is he going down?
Re: The driver's window regulator acting weird
It's a safety feature.
If the window has to push against resistance it will lower.
This is so it doesn't trap fingers etc.
You need to remove the crane and reinstall it.
It's probably just slightly wonky.
Because of that the window is sticking a bit and automatically lowering as it can't tell the difference between trapped fingers and stickiness.

How does that translate?

How does that translate?
slightly wonky = Ușor rătăcit....and back again = Easily lost
So, it does NOT translate well
slightly wonky = Out of alignment = Din aliniere

Re: The driver's window regulator acting weird
some of you guys don't pay attention. what resistance are you guys talking about since the windows goes ALL THE WAY UP until there is no room for the window to go, that's the end point.
I know about that safety feature, everyone knows about it but this is not the case. For a "n" time - the window closes as expected but it seems that wants to go further more but there is free space to do that.
