Confusion reigns in Paggers this morning :?
divsign.jpg
I did see one car suffering and lost :( Driver was too proud to ask me for directions. I believe this signage 'modification' was the work of late-night jokers ...

That is the first mention ever of "Mungrisdale" on the FCF Skull. This is my "picture" of Mungrisdale...a fingerpost sign being page 1 of Wainwright's 36 on Blencathra in Book 5 "The Northern Fells",

Probably went fairly close when we had a trip to Cumbria (without going to the Lakes) in search of its old AA Village signs, starting off in Caldbeck. Starts off here... viewtopic.php?p=576192#p576192

Yes Newcastle Falcon I have the same book borrowed from a keen hiking neighbour and completed 9 Wainwright's yesterday (total now 73 of the 214) The detail in those books is amazing with Blencathra alone having 35 pages of notes. I missed some of the views due to mist, and I never noticed the sign post illustrated (presumed replaced). Mungrisdale was lovely and quiet midweek and I missed a great looking pub The Mill Inn - closed on Monday & Tuesday #-o along with a cafe #-o

Julia Bradbury did some interesting "Wainwright's Walks"

I think I would do it by drone, a walk to the shops is far enough for me, thankyouverymuch.

You'd have to walk behind her for the best view. :-D

Does the lower part of this sign being in red suggest a veiled warning about what might happen in the small rally field?

All very concerning... It could be leading to something very undesirable...

If this notice is really necessary then I think the human race may as well give up now!!

Robyn went in to change Autumn and failed... She came out with exactly the same child

I guess there was nothing better on offer today...

We had the same stupid signs in our office loos - actually come to think of it, I'm sure ours were 15 steps rather than some half hearted 11 step version.

Really annoys me that something akin to "and now your hands are clean" was the last "step" !
That's not a step, that's the end state!!!!
