We have been to see the windmill at Cromer on three occasions but I have not noticed that sign Neil, I'll have to stop by there on my way to Littleport!!

Well New Zealand was part of the UK once wasn't it? I'll have to check with my Kiwi authority.
I didn't know they had the AA out there though

The dashed lines mean that the indicated place is 'turning off' the main road above.
Not sure that was widely known back then.

...and then we have the "detached" pre-Warboys signs provided by the Royal Automobile Club one with the previously unintelligible black and white banner.
How's your memories
Have an August 2021 go at this old poser

But what about their traditional rivals. Well here's a couple of their old signs still in situ.
No attempt at concealment or deviousness but anyone know of the top of their head where these signs are?

There's a nice little business in Notices, interpretative boards etc, and a nice location to work from.
Osprey Signs the Old Powerhouse Etal Northumberland. There work is all over the Country. Have a flick through their gallery. https://www.ospreyco.com/gallery
