Re: Herc the c15
While we're about it, no pics but I managed to fit a Honda CBF125 in the back of the 406. Not quite a cross-channel venture that, but it sort of counts as it looked utterly impossible but did fit (after a fashion)... Only tools I had were a couple of spanners and a pair of mole grips too...

Re: Herc the c15
I had to collect my eldest son's first scooter in my R11.*
Tailgate wouldn't quite close and that upset the speaking control lady - ranted on all the way home.
*TXE Electronic with a SWMBO in the dash - hilarious

Re: Herc the c15
Quite fancy a dk blue C15 - with a few styling cues from a Met. police box & a couple of Dr Who refs. BUT, would anyone get the joke?

Re: Herc the c15
original tho' and the van's 'square' shape kinda fits...
....maybe with a suitable Dr W graphic and little light on top, it'd be quite the thing
Cor, Ren 11, that must've been a while back... can't be many of them left, and I suppose the ones that are are still worth nowt.

Re: Herc the c15
Mine had belonged to a Newcastle striker who's sister lived in the next street so the local kids knew it.
When I bought it they used to flock to the car for autographs etc. and the disappointment on their faces when I got out was priceless

Re: Herc the c15
So I joined up to one of those sites that email you a price for your part from the breakers I got it to search for a cheap arsed exhaust for Herc as I can't justify spending 700€ cheapest quote for new system only for it to probably fail the CT but the cheeky swines charge 3€ to get the number of the cheapest breakers which came in at 180€ and my missus being tighter than a ducks arse is like oh maybe it's a scam lol

Re: Herc the c15
Just did a quick eBay search for Citroen C15 full exhaust system, and there were a couple listed for £50-70 it looked like. Worth looking there if you've not already?

Figured you'd have looked...but I've overlooked obvious things like that before so thought it was worth mentioning.
Odd that the 1.9D isn't the one they're "all" for as I'd have thought it would be the most common variant, at least that's what I would have expected.

Exactly what I thought it also seems that you can buy all the parts to the exhaust separate from different manufacturers but I'm a tad wary about that as it comes down to if all parts slot together as they should

Re: Herc the c15
Most of the parts are common, e.g. the tail box appears to be universal, the centre section at least fits all diesels, I think maybe the only variation is the down pipe.
I identified where I got mine from, but they're not listing C15 now. I checked several other likely sources, only one lists a complete system - or, rather, all the components - but the cost is at least what you paid for the van!
Are you sure you need a complete system? It's the rear section, wher it enters the back box that usually fails. You could probably replace the centre section with a length of pipe (in fact just such a part is available for the 1.4!).
NVRC (in Wellingborough) - who always seem to have a few C15's - have got a tailbox+centre section (which must be sentre box & CAT) for £40 but p&p won't be cheap - then again, neither is a new system!
Nearer home, have you tried Norauto? their bigger branches fit exhausts - & isn't Midas in France?
Good Luck with it anyway (who said C15's are cheap & easy to fix???)

Ouch!
The CAT is particularly eye watering, given it serves no useful purpose!
