Re: On my walk.
I've got four sections of lawn, I cut three of them last week, the other one is a jungle at the moment.
Lovely sunny start today, a bit of brekky then outside to do a bit more on the C5, finish the drive shaft fitting then sort out the rusty front brakes.
Still have the turbo tubes under the engine to fit then under the front will be done, I see that the protective covers from mid way under the floor have been part ripped off, not the sort of part that the breakers are likely to have.

Topsy! Someone else remembers Topsy - or, at least, the expression, which I've given up using 'cos I kept getting blank looks.

Re: On my walk.
I thought everybody knows Topsy...
For those that don't, Wikipedia comes to our aid
Must be our age Van
I expect younger readers will think initially of Topsy and Tim
A very firm favourite of my children when they were little and me too actually.. I love Topsy and Tim
Almost as much as I love Rosie and Jim....

Did a double-take when I came across this, at our local shopping complex in Velez-Malaga...

I don't understand.
I show you an imitation plastic H-Van, and all you're interested in is the blonde with large dollops of ice-cream.

Reminds me. Robyn took some pictures of a couple of H Vans she saw last weekend... I'll post them up into the H Van thread later...
The ones she saw are real. One sold coffee and the other sold ice cream but no lovely blonde sadly...
Here's the Ice Cream one

Re: On my walk.
I don't actually remember Topsy only the expression (along the lines of) "Just grewed - like Topsy" that was in common use at home when I was growing up.
I do remember an H ice cream van at the ICCCR in Rome which the man assured me he would be bring to England for the next one - can you imagine crossing the Alps in an H-van?
