Re: Favourite colours for cars
That would really have to fade very exceptionally to become beige

That blue is lovely Never officially available in the UK and RHD... The other one looks like Lacquer Peel Red... Otherwise known as Dante' Red or Wicked Red...

Re: Favourite colours for cars
Back to the short-lived thread, the official code and the name for the blue was never declared an ommission which can't be left uncorrected if the FCF class of 2024 is worth its salt. Similarly a rather imprecise description was given of the orangey red..(not wicked red Jim) thus
All very unsatisfying and imprecise...can the class of '24 do better"It's a flip paint primarily only found on Activae that dependent on the light can look fire engine red,
or orange or deep crimson:
Another example of the "blue"

Re: Favourite colours for cars
The blue is a bit elusive, dont think its Bleu Fidgi but the red I think is this. A special colour, in that it was also on the Citroen Xantia Multimedia, and an Activa special colour.

Re: Favourite colours for cars
The original Photo of the Activa above was taken by Andrew (andmicit) who was a regular poster, very knowledgeable, and very helpful in my early days with my pair of Xantia's.
Here were his views on Colours for the Xantia Activa back in 2008

andmcit wrote: ↑16 May 2008, 01:20 On the subject of colour, nobody is right or wrong and the final call is purely down to subjective personal opinion! For me, I've found out by the process of elimination the hard (expensive) way that the blue,
green and black are too sober and sophisticated ie NORMAL, and the car simply blends into anonymity which may be great for a real Q car but an Activa is anything but normal being such a special beast that it really deserves to stand out!
The silver looks sharp and really suits the Xantia's lines but the colour that now shines for me as being best is the unique one made specifically for this model. I made the mistake of parking my black one next to my pal's newly purchased red one and the crimson and almost orange flip red paint is stunning and made mine look old hat!!
I don't dislike any of the colours and do own a blue Activa, sadly poorly and in need of some TLC, as well as a mint smart green one that is a long term work in progress. And there's a silver one that I won the modest bidding on ebay for although i didn't need it, but it was a good idea at the time and I wanted to stop it being a Pug engine donor!!
Dammit, I wish I'd seen a red one properly first though!!

Re: Favourite colours for cars
No further info on the blue but I did find this article which suggests a brand new colour for the Activa was Inferno Red mentioned as the last point in this article:

Re: Favourite colours for cars
While I have to agree the blue is questionable there is no other blue option anywhere close so my final answer is:

Re: Favourite colours for cars
Here is a one from Holland which looks pretty adjacent, but the description doesnt id the colour. The Colour must have been a thing, rather than someone randomly respraying in that shade of blue.
In another photo by the same person of that car he commented "Little by little I'm starting to appreciate the Xantia as well, but it was mainly the fantastic colour that was the deciding factor for this photo."

Re: Favourite colours for cars
I still think Citroen missed a trick in not painting UK market cars in the blue...
Interesting to know LHD Activas were painted in Nacre
