The Clan Crusader didn't go for exotic names for their colours, but most of them were nice and bright...

I could translate this, but it is so much better in French, and I think it well reflects my own feelings without a clumsy google translate.

La berline "gris temps perdu" d'olivier

from: http://ami6et8.canalblog.com/

This is an excellent site for a play. Just clag anything in as a filter on the colour description field and it comes up with a list across manufacturers. I put in Mars and it came up with quite a few. https://www.carcolourservices.co.uk/car-paint/

Ford had a Mars red......as did Mercedes

As did VW as I found out went I was watching an episode of Mend it for Money featuring a Mk1 Golf GTi in Mars Red.

Two colours caught my eye

The Mazda is a really striking red in the sunlight, the Hyundai was a nice blue/grey airforce bluey type of colour.
The camera never lies but often doesn't quite capture colour as you see it.

No original Pics but 2 very bright striking coloured cars. First up a bright green Lotus, and second up very possibly one of these 30th Anniversary Mazda MX5. Unfortunately just driving off when I came across it so no direct confirmation. It was a very striking orange and it was on the right plate.

The Wiki indoor photo doesn't do it justice, sunny day with the top down in Northumberland required to see it at its best.

Its definitely been the year of "next slide please" the graph and the chart. So in "favourite colours for cars" this is a nice illustration, although anecdotally I do think there appears to be a slight resurgence of colour recently.

On the Morrisons car park scale of outstandingness this would undoubtedly stand out.

The shape alone stands out in a sea of SUV's, but against a largely monochrome background the colour definitely catches the eye.

and the colour is.....Triton

That graph above is a perfect example of how to display statistics graphically, and with immediate clarity! =D>

Your graph doesn't go back far enough. My favourite colour is Saluki Bronze followed by Mardi Gras Red

Purple gets short shrift. I'm fairly ambivalent about car colours and plays no part in my choice of car.
There is/was a lovely CX in a deep purple that I found very, very nice.
Have seen the odd purple ones recently too and liked the darker ones.
