Dave, have a great holiday :D From what I've seen, modern caravans are more luxurious than the average home now...

One advantage they have over a cruise is that you can't get seasick in one!

The average mpg for the whole journey there and back was 46.9 Not too bad as there was more traffic coming back so a bit of speeding up and slowing down involved.

Had a good run to Filey today. Car averaged 50+ mpg that was with AC most of the way. Steady 60 on cruise where possible.

I wish mine would do that.

I brimmed the tank before this trip Steve so should be able to do a more accurate calculation.

I find the display and my calculated results always match very well - Have run a spreadsheet for years on consumption figure.
Always brim the tank and record mileage/fuel volume.

I used ton do that but now I don't. Running a V6 makes it so depressing.

We were planning on returning Monday am after brekkie but being as everything was packed up we started back after the Sunday night bingo session.😀 The roads were very quiet, even the M1 and M6 so I set it on cruise at 60mph and settled in. As this was the first time I'd driven it in the dark I can confirm the lights are bloody awful! Dip seems to shine just in front of the bumper and main is almost like the old French amber colour and pretty useless. I actually thought there was only one working as the aim is all over the place, some work needed there then. Mpg on the return was only 42, quite a difference but I was going a touch faster. Time for a bit of light maintenance methinks.

The car is booked in for Thursday to have a new clock spring fitted under warranty. Hopefully that will put the airbag light out.
I took the kids to the airport the other day, it's about 15 miles straight down the M6. As we got onto the motorway I reset the trip and put it on cruise at 60mph. We had the AC on as it was a scorcher but luckily the roads were quiet and it registered 58 mpg as we pulled into the airport! I was amazed. I should imagine on a long continental run the tank range would be phenomenal.
