On the back of today's spot by HuskyXantia...

Reviews are reviews are reviews, do pretty much the same thing, take probably too long, can be irritating.
One particular bit of it which Ginny seems to enjoy, will be an instant turn off for those with certain companies on their banned list! (Hello Mick!)

Yes electrification for the well-heeled

I've watched 35 secs now , let me guess you can charge it at a Tesla fast charger with a subscription or similar? - I'll go watch the rest now :-D

Ok I picked the wrong company from my list :-D But you were right Neil, definitely won't be having one of them!!

we in the Antipodes know Ginny from the country living shows
I knew about her motoring interests but I hadn’t realised that she did EVs as well
anyway, I test drove a Polestar 2 late last year and thought it was ok, in a conventional-car sort of way
maybe that’s the whole idea
three issues:
* it looks like Lego
* it weighs 300kg more than a similarly specced Tesla model 3
* a few things are sold as extras eg glass roof and that jacks the price up inordinately
I’ve only ever seen one road test that mentioned the weight
I bought a model 3 long range
wife has a DS5

Welcome to the thread and thanks for your first post of hopefully many on the FCF :-D . Hopefully plenty of interest to be found on the forum for you. As well as tremendous knowledge particularly on all things Citroen unequalled anywhere on the net, the off topic chat section has 4673 subjects to talk about as of now, and provide entertainment and yes a bit of education along the way.

One of the hot topics at the moment is energy matters global and domestic.

Covers all sorts including Vehicle to Grid, Virtual Power Plants using Tesla Powerwalls/other home storage and a sister thread about Home solar.

Australia also features in its effective overcapacity of energy resources and mineral resources, and has featured in projects supplying liquid hydrogen to Japan using initially Australia's large coal resources (nice export of emissions by Japan) and big investments in the "transitioning oil and gas companies" in producing green hydrogen from excess solar and exporting it half way around the world in ships. (seems madness to me!)

Would be really interested to get some contributions direct from what is going on in Australia on the energy front.

This is the basic link for any contributions, but like I say there is also the Home Solar thread and a thread specifically about Hydrogen called....The Hydrogen thread. :-D

Bit about NIO ET7, currently sailing its way to Europe on board the Carmen....

No American voices or arm waving, no top-gear-esque and their clones tyre squealing round a track,
just a quiet spoken guy telling you about the car.

At least a nice calm, quiet presenter.
The whole thing seems very nice but way over the top. Far too much stuff crammed in there.

Yes I have to agree there Steve, nice looking car though I don't like the wrap around rear lights, but electric motors to close the doors, 1000watts sound system, massage seats all round etc etc are all, in my view, unnecessary ways to use up your battery and reduce your range. What we want is a comfortable efficient and smart looking electric car that we can afford, similarly priced to a mid range Toyota ICE car. :-D

you want an electric Morris 1,000 Mick :) more than enough for most needs.

I did include 'smart looking' in my description Gibbo, and while I wouldn't call the Moggy ugly in any way it does look a trifle dated!!
Maybe an electric Hillman Hunter would satisfy me! :-D
