The Renault Zoe...............why aren't there as many Zoe's on the roads of the UK as Leafs. Similar....both look like real cars, Maybe Renault just don't want to aggressively sell them?

Probably something to do with Renault always owning the battery and refusing to sell it to the end user.
At least that was their position a couple of years ago.

I saw a white ION / C-Zero / M-iEV the other day; first one i have seen in motion apart from Mandrake's. It was going the other way in traffic, so not sure which emblem it had on it!

Should have a marginally interesting picture of an electric car spot today. Quite refreshing really.. It was so normal it .could have been a Ford Mondeo. Bit of a mechanical process requiring the old desktop to post it up, plugging in the memory card from the camera so you will just have to contain your excitement

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
For those in the Central Scotland area with even the slightest interest or curiosity about EV's who might like to have a close look at some and even get behind the wheel for free test drives, there is Evolution Scotland in Glasgow on October 6th:
http://scotland.evolutionshow.co.uk/evolution-glasgow
This is an EV specific car show that has run in Edinburgh for the last few years at the Highland Showgrounds near Edinburgh airport but this year is running in Glasgow at the Riverside Transport Museum.
I went to the 2017 show and quite enjoyed it. Although they recommend to book in online ahead of time actual entry is free, as are test drives. To test drive you need your drivers license and a printed copy of a "license check" form from the DVLA website same as you would for a hire car or courtesy car, and be there early as the queue to test drive was long!
All the main EV manufacturers with a car in the UK market were there when I went including Tesla, Nissan, Renault, BMW etc...as were companies related to EV's such as those who install charging points at houses, solar panel installers etc... there were also activities to keep kids entertained, like a huge 10 player 5 metre long remote controlled car racing game.
This is the ideal place to get a test drive in an EV to see what they're like with no dealer sales pitch or pretending to be interested in buying. Also I can't think of anywhere else where you could test drive cars all the way from a Zoe to a Tesla Model X at the same venue on the same day to get a comparison between different cars!
When I went I had my license check form ready and could have done some test drives unfortunately a combination of having a one year old with me and being a bit of a chicken meant I didn't actually go through with any test drives!

Anyway, check it out if you're interested.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
Saw another "tessa" today in Telford! This time the SUV version in tasteful Undertaker Black. Showing off as she picked up her skirts and overtook a line of traffic in a 40 zone
. Both fast ladies; feel exhausted
