Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
In the Leaf configurator solid red is currently the standard colour with no add-on.
in ascending order of add-on we have
at £250
Arctic White
at £575
Gun Metallic
Pearl Black
Blade Silver
Bronze
Magnetic Red
at £745
Polar White
Now if you can precisely identify a polar white, as opposed to an arctic white from an "in the wild spot", take 999 points! The driver in the Polar will have paid £170 more than the driver in the Arctic!

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
Like my son's Seat Leon Cupra that is "Dynamic Grey" or something like that.
IIRC it was tremendously expensive for dirty white.
Fortunately he didn't pay for it.
Trip to Teeside today, lots of traffic on the A19/A66 but never saw a single electric car although I did try and remember to keep a lookout for them for a few minutes at a time.

...and the Renault Zoe is available in the following colours. Marketing must have done some research, and come up with 3-versions of Grey as being appealing to the car-buying public. . Only the Glacier White is FOC, the rest are add-ons.
TITANIUM GREY
YTRIUM GREY
ZIRCON BLUE
CALICO GREY
ARCTIC WHITE
MARS RED
DIAMOND BLACK
GLACIER WHITE

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
Oh how dull and boring colours are now... The Zoe is available in three shades of grey and two of white. <stifles a yawn>
I bet even the red and blue are as dull as ditchwater
I really miss the days when cars were available in bright colours and such colours were the norm...

Ever wondered what Ytrium is...

Well as well as possibly being a spelling mistake it is also an element atomic number 39 with symbol Y.

Ytterby isn't the most exciting place in the world so dull is apt.

Saw another (or perhaps the same one!) of the Leaf Taxis yesterday - these are dark dull gray...

Do you remember the Nissan Chromoflair Colours on the Micra and Primera gt in the 90's? They used to be a Joy to clean when they came into the cleaning bay, Early 00's, renault added Gold to a lot of the colour ranges of the metallic colours, used to add something different to the look of them! They did a beautiful light blue/gold tint on the later mk1 laguna's

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
Our XM is Polar White, when it was one of the "base non-metallic colours". Really don't see why anyone should pay a premium price for it . . . unless, of course, it's unpopular, and therefore something of a 'special' . . . maybe because of the price . . .
